Advice When Considering Cosmetic Surgery in Liverpool & WarringtonPublished on 8th October 2014
Advice from Liverpool Cosmetic Clinic on Cosmetic Surgery
It is important to understand that with any cosmetic procedure (invasive or non-invasive) that there are always risks as well as benefits.
Liverpool Cosmetic Clinic would therefore like to provide guidance on how to make an informed decision based on using the correct research, knowledge and expert advice.
Check qualifications of the surgeon:
Only select a Consultant Plastic Surgeon or Consultant Cosmetic Surgeon and ensure that the expert is included on the specialist register of the General Medical Council, which ensures quality training in plastic surgery. Also source a Plastic Surgeon who is a member of a professional body such as the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) or British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS). It’s also important to select a Cosmetic Surgeon who has a “clinical interest” or area of expertise in the type of procedure which you are considering.
Do research:
Do not make a decision based solely on the price of the cosmetic surgery procedure or treatment, as if the price is very reasonable there is often a reason for this. As tempting as a “cosmetic surgery offer” sounds, this should not determine your choice of Cosmetic Surgeon or cosmetic surgery clinic, as most reputable Plastic Surgeons would not offer price cut incentives. Don’t be pressurised into committing to surgery because of a discount or special offer!
