Helen Flanagan, UK’s sexiest woman undergoes cosmetic surgeryPublished on 17th June 2013
Despite being voted the UK’s Sexiest woman in glossy FHM magazine recently, Helen Flanagan reportedly underwent plastic surgery last month after allegerdly receiving years of bullying whilst at school, apparently leaving her extremely self conscious.
Helen is reported to have opted for cosmetic surgery to her nose, known as Rhinoplasty after “cruel” comments made about her during her school years. This resulted in her battling with her insecurities caused by the bullying, even though she has just been awarded FHM magazine’s sexiest accolade! According to a close friend of Helen’s, “she was racked with self doubt,” and “she was bullied throughout her school days about the size of her nose and it really affected her badly”.
Unfortunately a fact of life is that children can be cruel to one another and sometimes this can result in lasting effects from name calling and taunting over a visual appearance. Commonly, if this type of bullying occurs regarding a certain part of the body such as prominent ears or a large nose for example, the person can become self conscious of this aspect and may consider surgery to correct the problem in later life.
Despite Helen discovering fame on successful soap Coronation Street and was happy to throw on a bikini during her time in the reality TV show I’m A Celebrity, the 22-year-old is reported to have felt that this simply gave her nowhere to hide from the long standing concerns from her body image.
Helen is recently reported to have undergone the nose re shaping surgery (Rhinoplasty) and is supposed to feel absolutely thrilled with the outcome of the surgery, making her proud of her new and improved nose.
